Barely a year after a new Heidelberg XL106-10 colour press was taken into service, a second identical brand-new press was started up on 10 March. These machines are the most productive ever by Heidelberg, with an output of 18,000 sheets per hour and a makeready time of 10 minutes per matrix. In addition, the quality measurement is performed by an inpress-control which leads to perfectly constant colour reproduction. In addition, there are another 40 Heidelberg print towers in production.
