Last week, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde have inaugurated the Frankfurt Book Fair. Flanders and the Netherlands were this year’s guests of honour at the world’s largest book fair. King Willem-Alexander represented our northern neighbours. Flemish Minister President Geert Bourgeois and Flemish Minister for Culture Sven Gatz attended the opening as well. Various literary events in the Flemish-Dutch pavilion (2,300 sqm) drew the attention to remarkable Flemish and Dutch books.
Graphius put its presence to good practice again at both the official opening and the book fair itself, where we welcomed many visitors to our stand D73 (hall 5.1). 277,000 people visited the Frankfurt Book Fair, including 142,300 trade visitors (+1.3% from 2015).
