Acquisition Rembrandt and Remmicom Packaging
Graphius Group is further focusing on the growth of its packaging division with the acquisition of Rembrandt and Remmicom Packaging of Aarschot.
On 25 April, Rembrandt Packaging and Remmicom Packaging from Aarschot joined Graphius Group.
This transaction strengthens the group's position in the packaging market. Together with its departments Lowyck in Ostend and Etiglia in Beersel, Graphius Group is thus diversifying its offer as a supplier of packaging materials.
Denis Geers, CEO Graphius Group:"The partnership with Rembrandt Verpakking and Remmicom Packaging is an important step for our organization and fits in with the diversification strategy within the group. Our activities within Lowyck (flat board) and Etiglia (labels) fit in nicely with those of Rembrandt and a valuable cross-fertilization is created between the companies with a great deal of knowledge transfer. This allows us to offer a total solution to our customers, from labels and clips to folding boxes."
Rembrandt Packaging and Remmicom Packaging, under the leadership of Dirk Roosen, will continue to exist as separate entities, but will henceforth enjoy the economies of scale of a larger group.
Dirk Roosen, CEO Rembrandt Verpakking and Remmicom Packaging:"We believe that this transaction will leverage the further development of both our companies. Under the wings of Graphius Group, long-term continuity for our customers and our employees is assured and, looking to the future, we can make the necessary investments in materials, people and training. This with the aim of strengthening our position in the flat board market."
