De Bijlage #01

Some aspects of print don’t need explaining. They need to be experienced.

With De Bijlage, Graphius is launching a new series in which, together with graphic designers, we take a closer look at one printing or finishing technique at a time. Not a traditional sample book or technical demonstration, but a free-form experiment that shows just what print can be.

De Bijlage #01 was created in collaboration with graphic designer Sara De Bondt and explores the combination of fluorescent inks, metallic paper and LED UV offset printing. Hold the cards, tilt them in the light and discover how the chosen techniques not only determine the result, but also help shape the design.

This is just the beginning. Each subsequent issue will feature a new designer, a different technique and a new experiment. In this way, we are building, step by step, an inspiring series that invites designers to discover, compare and, above all, experience the possibilities of print.
