Cassochrome from Waregem joins Graphius Group
Graphius Group has acquired Cassochrome of Waregem. Cassochrome is internationally one of the most respected printers in the production of high-end art, design, fashion and architectural books. As of April 3, Cassochrome's activities will take place in the buildings of Graphius Ghent, allowing them to benefit from economies of scale and the high-performance internal bookbindery.
Denis Geers, CEO Graphius Group:
"The acquisition of Cassochrome is a well-considered step and broadens our presence in the art sector. Indeed, the company has an established reputation for producing high quality art books for an international clientele. There is a lot of know-how within the company for these specific reproductions with a razor-fine crystal grid. We will be able to deploy this on a larger scale."
The Cassochrome team, led by Laurence Soens, will continue to trade under the existing brand name and will have access to the high-performance machinery with integrated bookbinding facilities within the group.
Laurence Soens:
"The alliance between Graphius and Cassochrome is essential in the long term for our employees, our customers and our suppliers. The need for an internal high-performance bookbindery for our book productions is stronger than before. We have been in talks with the Geers family for some time and have built up a relationship of trust in that time. Graphius and Cassochrome have a culture that is very close and values its diverse stakeholders. For this reason, myself and our employees are very pleased to be part of Graphius Group and look forward to working together."
