A monumental life’s work on Nicolas Poussin
With the publication of Nicolas Poussin – Catalogue raisonné de l’œuvre peint, Flammarion Beaux-Arts has produced an exceptional art-historical reference work. This four-volume box set catalogues the complete painted oeuvre of Nicolas Poussin and is the result of more than half a century of research, supplemented by over ten years of intensive editorial work.
The project was compiled by art historian Pierre Rosenberg, former director of the Louvre, in collaboration with Christel Dupuy. The catalogue contains over 1,600 pages of analysis, documentation and illustrations, offering an unprecedented insight into the work of one of the most important painters of the 17th century.
